Yogli Mogli

Soo... after a delicious meal at Yeah! Burger, during which I extolled the virtues of the Paleo diet to my very good, very patient friends, we headed across the street to Yogli Mogli.

This place is a sugar addict's fantasyland with self-serve mix and match yogurt flavors and DIY toppings bar (complete w/ mini m&m's and mini reese's cups... *sigh*).

It was actually fun for me to be in there and not crave any of the temptations with any real intensity... kind of like visiting a museum of things I used to eat (and, let's be honest, probably will eat again at some point, though hopefully with less attachment and more control).

But then... it was back to my place for some HOT Saturday night karaoke action (that's right, you know you're jealous)... and that's when all I wanted was a glass of  WINE (fortheloveofgawdsweetbabygeezus). Only a few days left of the thirty, so I abstained... but my friend's tempranillo smelled like bliss. Spicy, velvety smooth, rich, warm bliss.

I love you Paleo and how you make me feel, and the challenge is fun and all, but in 5 days you are going to have to scoot over and make some room for my good friend, fermented grape juice. Thx.

It's the perfect day...

For a swirl ice cream cone from Zesto. (Don't judge--i love Zesto). Sweet, creamy cold goodness.

But no, not today.

Lunch with brother

This is what my 6'4, 175 lb brother eats. So not fair, but didn't touch it!

Rathbun's Steakhouse

Perfectly softened butter w/ assorted fresh bread? No thanks.
Chocolate mousse cake (heavy on the mousse, light on the cake)? Looks good but I'll pass.
Strawberry shortcake with piles of whipped cream? Maybe later.
Well, what DO you want? An effing glass of effing WINE. Water, meat, and vegetables, thanks!
